JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • The EP RN assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 2 years of prior experience in a Cath/EP lab doing EP or interventional coronary procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  • Experience in electrophysiology or interventional cardiac cath lab.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification (Formerly NASPE) or previous electrophysiology experience.
  • Registered Nurse Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS Allied Health)
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS
Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Licensure:
  • Active GA RN License  
Certifications:
  • AHA-BLS
  • AHA-ACLS
